Julian Lucas (b. 1974, Chicago) is an African American photographer raised in Los Angeles. Julian attended Portland State University, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Photography. His photographic oeuvre range from the fine art nude to an exploration of social issues, and challenging social norms. His series Everyday Pomona and Apt #31, chronicle everyday life alternating between intimate interior images and coarse street life-scenarios.
