Julian Lucas Documents Happiness Pursued and Paradise Lost in CLMA Exhibition

Opening Reception: April 4, 6-9 p.m.

In his first solo museum exhibition, Claremont-based photographer Julian Lucas explores the concept of home in relation to the American Dream. As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, this exhibition asserts that home is a state of mind, and the pursuit of the American Dream is stratified according to race and access to power.

Julian Lucas: Happiness Pursued. Paradise Lost. will open with a reception on Saturday, April 4 from 6-9 p.m.and will remain on view through July 12, 2026. The exhibition is supported by the Pasadena Art Alliance. The Museum is open Thursday through Sunday in the historic Claremont Depot at 200 W. First Street next to the Metrolink Station.
